Job Description

The Accountant will work under the direction of the Controller and assist in the development and implementation of company-wide accounting procedures,policies, and protocols. He/She will collect, maintain, analyze, and report on various forms of financial information within the company that will assist the executive team in making educated economic decisions. Responsible for specific accounting tasks primarily related to the General Ledger, the Accounts Receivable/Sales Process, Financial Reporting and Analysis, and Budgeting/Forecasting.


  • Monthly client billing and reconciliation of billing data to the G/L coordinated with Finance and Operations teams 
  • Submission of client invoices into 3rd party websites
  • Evaluation of new client contracts for relevant billing information with adherence to internal process
  • Monitoring and administration of client purchase orders
  • Recording of daily cash receipts and deposit processing
  • When necessary, communicate with clients to resolve any billing or collections issues
  • Assist in the day-to-day collection and interpretation of accounting data
  • Standard periodic journal entries
  • Fixed asset accounting
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain subsidiary schedules
  • Coordination of the monthly accounting schedule
  • Preparation of monthly management and operations reports
  • Assist with the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting process
  • Participate in preparing schedules and providing documentation for all external audits
  • Preparation of financial analyses including performance trends, client program trends, expense/revenue trends
  • Review policies and procedures to identify opportunities for improvements and required internal controls
  • Special projects as assigned


  • 3-5 years’ experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting
  • Exceptional verbal and communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with automated accounting software packages, preferably QuickBooks
  • Ability to multi-task and meet demanding monthly and periodic deadlines
  • Problem solving and analytical skills required
  • Ability to maintain a confidential work environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Preference to local candidates, future in office work to be needed
